A two-wheeler dealership was running attendance on paper and leads in a WhatsApp group.

the brief

A two-wheeler dealership was running attendance on paper and leads in a WhatsApp group. Both worked, right up until somebody needed to know what happened last month.

MotoDesk replaces exactly those two things and nothing more: a daily attendance register for staff, and a lead tracker that follows a walk-in from first enquiry to sold.

the tricky bit

Paper and a WhatsApp group both work, right up to the moment someone asks what happened last month. The failure is not that the tools are bad — it is that nothing accumulates.

The harder constraint is who uses it. A showroom floor is not a desk: the person entering a lead is standing, on a cheap Android tablet, mid-conversation with a customer.

what I did

Scope held deliberately narrow at the start — a daily attendance register and a lead tracker that follows a walk-in from first enquiry to sold. Two things replaced properly beats ten things replaced badly, and a system nobody abandons in week three.

Server-rendered PHP and MySQL, no client-side framework, so it stays quick on the hardware actually in the showroom. Role-based access means a salesperson sees their own pipeline and nothing else.

Quotes, invoices, stock, service jobs and follow-ups came later, once the two things people used every day had earned the right to carry more.
